The Quality / Outsourcing / Training Lead role is based in Luxembourg and reports to the Chief Compliance Officer of Airbnb Payments Luxembourg S.A. (APL).  The role covers three key areas: Quality Assurance, Outsourcing Management and Training Development and oversight both for within the EEA and elsewhere.  At a high level, your input as a Quality Assurance analyst will manage APL’s operational quality assurance activities. You will oversee and monitor the performance of APL’s AML outsourcing partners, in particular against SLAs. You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate training for all APL employees and others working on APL matters within the group.

Important: This role requires candidates to be based in Luxembourg City, and is not eligible for relocation support.  No work visa sponsorship available for this role.

Responsibilities:

QA

  • Together with the global QA team, assist in the quality assurance and control testing on a monthly and quarterly basis of AML activities focussing particularly on APL QA for AML activities
  • Present  findings to management and collaborate to determine appropriate action plans
  • Work closely with operational investigators to determine root cause of issues, provide coaching, and determine necessary follow up actions
  • Ability to get up to speed on new operational processes and requirements quickly, to provide actionable feedback prior to launch
  • Ability to review complex process and procedure documents with attention to detail to identify potential issues, inaccuracies, or areas of risk
  • Track all remedial actions through completion, confirming complete and accurate closure
  • Create, manage and maintain metrics to monitor quality of operational processes
  • Coordinate with CCO on activities associated with internal control monitoring and external regulatory exams

Training

  • Write / coordinate the production of compliant training materials
  • Tailor training for the audience (operations, payments, board)
  • Write and review training policies to ensure alignment with regulations
  • Work with designers to create first class content
  • Ensure maximum use of on-line delivery of training
  • Develop and deliver training in relation to operational activities such as Investigations, SAR filing, Alert clearing, due diligence
  • Maintain a record of all training

Outsourcing

  • In collaboration with the CCO, update, operationalise and maintain the Outsourcing Policy 
  • Work with all service providers to maintain, define and implement reporting on SLAs
  • Track, monitor and ensure adequate oversight via metrics reporting on outsourced AML activities
  • Report on performance of the service providers to the APL compliance team
  • Escalate to CCO any breaches of SLA and required remedial activity proposed or agreed
  • Provide support to internal teams to implement SLA monitoring process to meet business or regulatory needs

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with global payments platforms
  • 2-3 years of experience in similar positions (at least 2 of the above responsibilities)
