The Pricing product teams are at the core of our mission. It focuses on analyzing marketplace dynamics to improve how guests understand pricing, fees and policies for booking on Airbnb, help hosts improve occupancy through pricing and availability tools, and much more!

As we expand our business, we are looking for someone who is thoughtful, creative and passionate to lead the finance partnership with the Pricing product teams. We seek a strong leader who can analyze a variety of business problems and influence teams including Product, Data Science, Research, Marketing and Eng, to drive concrete business outcomes.  This is an unique opportunity to partner with these world-class teams on growth, planning, and strategy on a day-to-day basis. You will lead through performance measurement and transform learnings into actionable insights across merchandising,  booking, pricing, and policies to impact both the guest and host communities.

A Typical Day

  • Establish measurement & reporting framework across Pricing teams.
  • Build models to inform the impact of product changes to top and bottom line metrics.
  • Define metrics and manage performance: Collaborate with cross functional partners to identify metrics that align with business drivers; set team goals; and track progress.
  • Lead business reviews at a regular cadence to share performance updates and drive strategic shifts based on latest data.
  • Partner with other Finance partners to drive our annual planning and budgeting process.
  • Identify step-change opportunities: Partner with operating teams to identify areas of outsized impact through quantitative analysis, industry benchmarks, and competitive research, and coalesce into actionable strategies.  

Your Expertise

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic finance, product analytics, management consulting or investment banking
  • Proficiency in SQL and financial modeling
  • Experience in Tableau is a plus
  • B.A. or B.S. in a in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research) preferred
  • Ability to work and influence cross-functionally is a must. You are proactive, effective at communicating with different audiences, and can bring different stakeholders on-board. You seek out and have a track record for driving change and impact in a fluid, unstructured working environment
  • You’re someone who possesses grit and finds creative ways to get the job done. You bring high energy and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical abilities and able to synthesize complex information. You enjoy absorbing large amounts of data and qualitative insights and can quickly develop a strong narrative that leads to recommendations and builds our understanding of the business
  • You’re very comfortable with financial modeling in Excel, and are willing to gather internal and external data points to help build a comprehensive business case

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
