Payments Processing team and the funds ledger teams are part of the core platform of the Airbnb Payments ecosystem. We are the team that connects Airbnb to the outside world of payment processors for the execution of any payment anywhere reliably, accurately, conveniently, and cost-effectively & single source of truth of all money movements in online ledger.. Our platform integrates with 20+ different Payments Service Providers, processing 70+ currencies across 191 countries and moving billions of dollars on an annual basis. We work closely with Partnerships, Finance, Product, Compliance and Legal teams to keep the money moving.

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Payments Platform team, your mission is to design and build a payments platform that is scalable, reliable for money movements, smart to route our business cost-effectively, resilient to any external processor downtime in any market, and accurate for Financial recording and reporting.
