The difference you will make:
Treasury's mission is to provide strategic risk management, financial expertise, and cash management infrastructure that enables and expands the business while empowering the community. Our Operations team optimizes cash for liquidity and return, manages global banking relationships, delivers strategic funding support for our payments platform and constantly thrives to mitigate and manage risk to our profit and loss.
You will be helping to transform data into valuable management information and analytical insights. In addition, you will be reviewing and enhancing the global processes which underpin all aspects of Airbnb’s local regulatory requirements and global cash optimisation. There is a genuine opportunity to make a tangible difference to Airbnb’s financial risk reduction, interest return and funding agility.
As an intern, you’ll be integrated into a team where you’ll contribute to challenging projects. Your manager, team, and our incredible employee community will strive to be superhosts to you during the summer. We provide the support, mentorship, fun, and real world experience needed to accelerate your learning and make a real impact on our product, as Airbnb revolutionizes connection, belonging, and travel. You can expect to:
- Collaborate with multiple team members to achieve project milestones
- Communicate with stakeholders across different teams to provide project updates
- Seek and provide feedback throughout the internship
- Actively participate in and contribute to the Treasury and broader Airbnb community
A typical day:
- Partnering with our Bankers, Global Finance Team and local Regulatory Management to monitor and report on cash, interest and liquidity.
- Reviewing bank account, management accounting and payment processor funding to help ensure that we are as efficient and effective as possible in delivering to our global mandate.
- Learning about regulatory requirements, global travel trends and payments nuance to help provide insights and new perspectives on our Management Reporting.
- Living and breathing our end-to-end global cash processes.
Your expertise:
- Pursuing a Degree in Finance, Data Science or a related field.
- Team Player, high level of dependability and strong work ethic.
- A strong attention to detail with the ability to absorb and articulate complex ideas.
- Passion for Airbnb and knowledge of the industry.
