The Community You Will Join 

As a Creative Lead, Copy, you’ll be a key member of Airbnb’s Creative Team—our multi-disciplinary, in-house group of copywriters, art directors, designers, photographers, filmmakers, and other creators. This close-knit, global team partners with every department across Airbnb, as well as with external agencies and production companies, to steward and elevate the Airbnb brand. You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment alongside Creative Leadership,  Production Leads, Product Marketing, Experience Designers, Legal, Localization and Program Managers, fostering meaningful connections between our brand and our ever-growing community of hosts and guests.

The Difference You Will Make 

As a hands-on and strategic creative on the Marcom team, you’ll concept channel-agnostic creative platforms with a focus on owned channels—including websites, email, social media, in-product announcements, events, and other yet-to-be-explored surfaces. You will own your work from concept to completion, helping to raise the bar for creative excellence at Airbnb. Your success will be measured by your ability to generate and execute big ideas, build compelling brand narratives, and deliver best-in-class work. You’ll play a critical role in advancing our creative messaging strategy, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the unique voice and tone of Airbnb.

A Typical Day

  • Lead the conceptualization and execution of go-to-market creative for new product launches in partnership with a Creative Lead, Art.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—Creative Leadership, Product and Brand Marketing, Program Managers, and Social—to develop and deliver creative solutions that flex across channels.
  • Help evolve and innovate Airbnb’s creative messaging and voice and tone guidelines, representing the brand through copy and storytelling.
  • Foster a respectful, collaborative, and inspiring team environment.
  • Ensure seamless communication with creative, production, and cross-functional partners.  

Your Expertise 

  • 10+ years of relevant experience leading campaigns for notable lifestyle brands; a mix of advertising agency and in-house experience is preferred.
  • Outstanding portfolio demonstrating best-in-class campaign, digital, social, and owned channel executions. 
  • Strong conceptual and brainstorming skills. You are the collaborative partner all the Art Directors want. 
  • A pension for powerful headlines. You are a writer’s writer and think beyond conceptual scripts.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically, concept through execution. You have big ideas and then sweat the details. 
  • Ability to translate market research, data, and strategy into innovative and delightful customer-centric solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills—you articulate decisions with passion and clarity.
  • A systems thinker who understands how their creative work impacts a digital ecosystem.
  • Experience working on global brands, with a proven ability to future proof work for non-US markets.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Keynote.
  • Experience collaborating cross functionally  with a range of internal teams, including Product Marketers, Brand Marketers, Engineers, Legal, Localization, and Production, 
  • Flexible, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, deadline-driven environment.
  • Deep empathy for the customer and for individuals on a creative team.

How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
