The difference you will make:

Airbnb is seeking a strategic and technically fluent Recruiting Operations leader to oversee the global Recruiting technology ecosystem, data infrastructure, and operational excellence initiatives that power Global Recruiting. This role will lead implementation of core recruiting systems and programs with the rigor and governance required for global adoption, scalability, and compliance.

The ideal candidate is a deep functional expert who can bridge strategy and execution—someone who understands recruiting inside-out, sees around corners, and thrives at the intersection of technology, operations, and business impact.

A typical day: 

  • Recruiting Systems Leadership: Oversee all recruiting systems, integrations, and tools ensuring functionality, scalability, and seamless user experience across teams and regions.
  • Technology Roadmap & Governance: Partner with internal technology teams,  Legal, Privacy, and Recruiting Leadership to define the tool roadmap and governance model, ensuring compliance, data integrity, and sustainable process design.
  • ATS Strategy & RFP Ownership: Lead the RFP, evaluation, and implementation of a new Applicant Tracking System; build foundational infrastructure and change-management plans for successful adoption.
  • Data, Reporting & Insights: Own global recruiting data architecture, dashboards, and reporting integrity. Deliver insights that enable executive decision-making and empower recruiting managers to drive accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Partnerships: Collaborate closely with RMT (Recruiting Management Team), BizTech, Finance, and Legal to operationalize workflows that support international expansion and evolving regulatory needs.
  • Program Implementation: Lead rollout of enterprise initiatives with disciplined project management, ensuring adoption and measurable efficiency gains across recruiting teams.
  • Operational Design:  Define how recruiting functions collaborate—establishing frameworks, playbooks, and service models that move Recruiting Ops from reactive support to intentional, strategic enablement.
  • Effectively Lead, Coach and Develop the Recruiting Operations team to deliver upon our roadmap and goals and support their growth and development.

Your expertise: 

  • 15+ years of experience in Recruiting Operations, HR Technology, or Business Systems Management.
  • Expert in enterprise recruiting and data systems such as Greenhouse, Workday, and Tableau, with proven success integrating or optimizing these platforms to improve operational efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Experience leveraging agentic AI and automation tools to enhance recruiting workflows, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Proven track record and expert at  implementing or migrating large-scale ATS or CRM systems.
  • Deep understanding of recruiting workflows, data architecture, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong technical fluency—able to partner effectively with engineering, BizTech, and data teams on integrations and infrastructure.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills; trusted partner to Recruiting, Legal, Privacy, and Finance.
  • Global experience with international compliance, localization, and scalability of recruiting tools and processes.
  • Strategic thinker with an operational lens—able to translate vision into structure, and structure into measurable impact.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
